Unique and powerful technology
Radial Shockwave Therapy (RSWT), developed more than 20 years ago, is a treatment method for superficial orthopedic conditions. A projectile accelerating in the handpiece generates a mechanical pressure wave. This pressure wave (energy), caused by the impact of the projectile on the applicator, diverges and is absorbed by the body. The energy decreases with depth. The mechanical stress caused by this energy has positive effects on a wide range of Orthopedic and neurological conditions.
This treatment method is used by many therapists (Physiotherapists, Sports Physicians, Orthopedists,...) all over the world. The EnPulse 2.0 from Zimmer Medezinsysteme, has nothing but advantages:

Softshot pulse technology
The enPULSE 2.0 generates a special form of shockwave with a relatively heavy projectile fired at a relatively slower impact velocity (vs; other systems): called,the "enPULSE softshot-pulse technology".
The energy is generated by the volume of the shock wave and not by the extremely aggressive short height of amplitude that we see in air compressor controlled shockwaves.
Unlike focused shockwaves, which produce wave rise times in less than 100 ns and therefore cause cavitation and tissue damage, we see that in radial systems, rather the amount of energy is the determining factor to activate physiological processes in the tissue.
The slower shock wave rise (approximately 13.5 µs) and the significantly lower peak amplitude ensure that the enPulse 2.0 does not generate the typical whiplash effect of a shock wave and is thus better tolerated in patients.
Extensive comparative tests in several laboratories have shown that the kinetic energy coming out of the applicator of the ENPuls 2.0 is comparable to the bar delivered in compressor-driven devices. Which energy corresponds to which bar?

The enPulse 2.0 with its unique soft-shot-pulse technology provides lower maintenance costs and longer handpiece life compared to units powered by compressors.
Zimmer MedizinSysteme offers a minimum warranty of 2,000,000 shots per handpiece, which corresponds approximately to 1,000 treatments. The handpiece should be replaced if a significant reduction in performance is experienced (reduced energy, faltering shock wave, etc.).
The complete system with all its accessories fits into an easy-to-carry aluminum transport case.
